Yuriy holds degrees in finance and economics and an MBA in management from the University of St. Thomas. His entrepreneurial spirit combined with a strong background in management, operations, business development and finance are instrumental in ensuring consistent and rapid growth for Elite Medical Scribes.
Seeing many challenges that healthcare industry was facing, Yuriy Vasylenko, MBA, Marcin J. Kubiak, MBA, and Cody W. Wendlandt, MD decided to bring their knowledge, skills, and expertise together to lead change and provide the necessary support to clinicians and their patients. Today, Yuriy’s meticulous attention to details and commitment to excellence have led to Elite’s significant growth and status as a preeminent medical scribe company operating across 30+ states with its 1000+ employees serving some of the world’s most renowned health systems. Elite Medical Scribes has been recognized by Inc. 5000 as one of the fastest growing companies in the United States, and Twin Cities Business Magazine as top 10 small business.
Additionally, Yuriy currently serves on the board of the American Red Cross Minnesota Region.
Yuriy enjoys traveling and loves attending Formula 1 grand prix around the world. He resides in Minneapolis with his wife and daughter.
Dr. Cody W. Wendlandt earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of St. Thomas, after which time he served as both a medical scribe and scribe trainer. Dr. Wendlandt earned his doctorate in medicine (MD) from St. George’s University. He completed a residency in Family Medicine through the University of Minnesota/St. Cloud Hospital program. He is board-certified in Family Medicine and practices rural urgent care and emergency medicine. Dr. Wendlandt has a proven talent in balancing business and medicine as he collaborates client physicians and helps develop new service offerings and scribe training programs.
His professional interests include clinical workflow, rural medicine, and emergency medicine. In his spare time, Dr. Wendlandt is an instructor and practitioner of Shotokan Karate and enjoys traveling, paintball, and science fiction movies.
Dr. Wendlandt is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, American Association for Physician Leadership, American Medical Association, Minnesota Academy of Family Physicians, and Minnesota Medical Association.
Marcin holds a degree in marketing management from the University of St. Thomas, a certificate in international business and trade from American University and an MBA from the G.R. Herberger College of Business at St. Cloud State University.
Prior to founding Elite, he worked in Washington, D.C. in the business development arena with a variety of organizations including the World Bank and USAID. He is a member of MGMA and ACHE and is extensively involved with various national healthcare associations. His meticulous focus on healthcare and patient experience results in thoughtful growth of Elite Medical Scribes around the country.
In his spare time, Marcin loves to travel and is passionate about water sports, including kiteboarding and SCUBA diving.
Stefanie Worwa, Director of Implementations, started her undergraduate schooling at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN and completed her degree at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. This allowed Stefanie to take the many available science courses and join the school’s pre-med program. She received a BA in Biology, Society and the Environment.
Stefanie joined Elite as a medical scribe her Junior year of undergrad to gain experience in the medical field, similar to most pre-med students. She initially scribed at three different Emergency Departments at a large health system in the Twin Cities area. Later she grew to scribe at a Pain Management clinic in order to gain further experience.
Since then, Stefanie has worked on the corporate team in multiple departments, from Quality Assurance to Product Development. Her education, experience and hard work have all contributed to her promotion to the Implementations team.
In her free time, you can find Stefanie cheering on the Steelers, shopping, traveling and attending concerts, all with an iced black coffee in-hand!
Adam holds degrees in business administration and biology from the University of St. Thomas. Adam has served in many roles prior to holding his current position including being a medical scribe, scribe trainer, chief scribe and Implementations Director. His unique background, blending business and medicine, has helped him assist in establishing and maintaining Elite’s high-quality scribe programs.
When he’s not focusing on workflow optimization, Adam enjoys playing hockey, golf and wakeboarding in addition to donating time to coach youth hockey.
Samuel Griffin, Esq. joined the company in November 2014. He holds a bachelors degree from American University in Washington, D.C. and a Juris Doctor from the University of Iowa College of Law. His passion for health law and regulation has allowed him to assist in developing Elite’s thorough compliance policies and procedures. He is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, the Health Law Section of the Minnesota Bar, and the American Health Lawyers Association.
In his spare time, Samuel enjoys spending time on the lake and following Minnesota sports team.
Mick Joneja joined Elite after 18 years of Talent Acquisition and Field operations experience. After graduating from the University of Minnesota, Mick joined Target Corporation to run stores in the Minneapolis, Wisconsin and Chicago markets. During his time in the field, Mick built out Campus Recruitment strategies to support talent needs for the growing retailer.
In 2010, Mick was selected to help build out the centralization of all Field Talent Acquisition teams. A year later, he took over a quarter of the US for staffing, running all Field Talent Acquisition for the East Coast.
Mick is passionate about giving back to the community, and he actively volunteers for the US Coast Guard Auxiliary, running Public Affairs for the Twin Cities. In his free time he enjoys water and winter sports, traveling and time with his family.
Brian Malek, Director of Operations, holds a BA in Anthropology and a BA in Sociology from the University of North Carolina – Greensboro. Brian graduated summa cum laude with both degrees and received UNCG’s highest undergraduate academic honor, the Student Excellence Award, from UNCG’s Lloyd International Honors College upon graduation in 2013. He was awarded three scholarships throughout his undergraduate education and is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society.
Before beginning his undergraduate education, and prior to joining the Elite Medical Scribes team, Brian received a high school diploma from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts with a concentration in classical ballet. After graduation, Brian danced professionally for The Washington Ballet in Washington, DC, and San Francisco Ballet in San Francisco, CA from 2004-2008.
Brian joined the Elite Medical Scribes team as an emergency department medical scribe to explore his interest in the medical field. Since joining Elite, Brian has grown with the company occupying multiple different roles: Chief Scribe, Regional Quality Assurance Manager—East Division, National Quality Assurance Manager, Client Relation Manager, and now as the Director of Operations.
Brian currently resides in New York City and enjoys travelling as well as attending opera, ballet, and theatre performances in his spare time.
Victoria graduated from Clemson University in 2012, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Public Health Sciences with a concentration in Pre-Professional Health. She graduated cum laude and was a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society.
After working as a Client Change Specialist for a company that assisted seniors in times of transition, Victoria joined Elite Medical Scribes in 2014 to gain more exposure to the medical field. Within Elite, she has worked as a medical scribe in multiple different specialties and sub-specialties, before taking on the roles of Chief Scribe and Regional Quality Assurance Manager. She now serves as Elite’s National Quality Assurance Manager.
Having always been involved in community service and mission trips, Victoria has recently become passionate about international health after participating in a medical mission trip to Port-Au-Prince, Haiti. When not planning her next mission trip, she enjoys watching Clemson sports, hiking and camping, traveling and spending time at her family lake house in North Carolina.
