As an undergraduate student or a recent colllege graduate, there are multiple opportunities for you in the world of scribing. Our program is designed for individuals who are interested in pursuing a career as a medical practitioner. This includes Pre-Medical students, Pre-PA students, and Nursing students with aspirations of obtaining an NP degree. If you are interested in becoming a scribe, please read the qualifications and download an application below.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in BA/BS program or recent college graduate

Career goals in medicine including MD/DO, NP, or PA

Excellent English language skills

One year commitment full time and two years part time

Ability to multi-task with attention to detail

Proficiency in keyboarding and computer operation

Good interpersonal communication skills

NEW opportunity in Ohio!

Elite Medical Scribes is currently seeking out candidates to fill a full-time medical scribe position in an emergency room at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio which is approximately 45 minutes outside of Columbus, Ohio. Working as a medical scribe provides a firsthand opportunity to work with a physician and is a valuable experience if you are interested in pursuing a career as a health care provider. A medical scribe is responsible for accompanying the physician during the examination and assists the physician with placing orders and expediting the patient’s care through use of the electronic health record. We are seeking college students or recent graduates living in central Ohio or are interested in relocating to the area. Qualified candidates will be detail-oriented, will have a mastery of the English language, excellent verbal/written communication, and strong observation and listening skills. All applicants must plan to pursue a future career as a health care provider such as a PA, NP, MD, or DO and either be in the process of or have completed the prerequisite coursework. Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus. Applicants must be adaptive and flexible to a variety of situations and must strive to be constantly improving their knowledge and usefulness.
